Personalized Ornaments
A wonderful gift for the holidays that would be treasured for years to come is a hand painted personalized ornament. They are great for sisters, daughters, Mom, Grandma, girlfriends, hairdresser, teacher, newlyweds... They can be dated with the year, a birth date, an anniversary, or no date.
The ornaments sparkle beautifully on the tree because they are sugared with fine glass glitter.
These ornaments are currently available at Rose Brook Cottage.
Blessings,

Pink Saturday 10/17/2009
Happy Pink Saturday!
Check out her blog for more pretty pinks.
This Saturday I am sharing the new 2009 Holiday Barbie. When my daughter and I saw her we were so excited. She is wearing the most beautiful pink gown this year!
This year is Barbie's 50th Anniversary. So it's just fitting that she should be wearing her signature color for the holidays.
Barbie brings back such wonderful memories from when I was a girl. My favorite pass time by far was to "play Barbie's" . My Mom would give me leftover scraps from her sewing projects and I would make my Barbie new dresses.
Now I have newer memories playing Barbie's with my daughter. And making clothes with her for her dolls :)
Did you play Barbies when you were a girl?
Have a fun Pink Saturday,

Pink Saturday... Hope For A Cure
Because October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, I am simply posting a pink awareness ribbon... In honor of my dear friend taken too soon, in honor of my mom-in-law, a brave survivor, in honor of all who have been affected by this horrible disease.
I pray for the day that we will no longer need this pink ribbon. That our daughters (and sons)will no longer be threatened by breast cancer. I pray for a cure.
But until then, let the ribbon remind us of who we have lost, of the survivors, and of our own need to stay informed. Please do regular breast self exams and have mammograms done according to doctor's recommendations. Early detection is the best chance for a cure. Check out Web MD and Komen For a Cure for lots of useful information, and ways to get involved.
