~Pink Saturday 2/20/10 ~

Now I am one who loves the winter and the snow. I love when the kids have a snowday or a surprise early dismissal from school. I love snuggling with a blanket and a good book by the fire and watching the snowfall. I love playing in the snow, making snowmen, snowball fights, making snow angels, sleigh riding and tubing . I even love shoveling the snow (well, maybe love is too strong a word for that...)
But now, even I am getting a little tired of the cold winter and am longing for a little green, fresh spring air, a little warm sun, the chirp of the baby birds...and the beautiful flowers that spring brings...especially the PINKS!

This is for all you pink lovers who are longing for spring...
Hang in there...it's on it's way!

Be sure to stop by Beverly's blog How Sweet the Sound now for more pink loveliness .
Thanks so much for stopping by this Pink Saturday! I hope you have a wonderful one!

Blessings,

The New Year has started off really busy at our house and I have unfortunately not been able to blog much. And now cheerleading competitions have started, so pretty much every weekend we will be on the road to another competition. My daughter's squad is doing wonderfully. They placed first for their division in their first competition. It is so amazing how hard they train and the stunts they do. I have heard it said "If cheerleading was any easier, they'd call it football!" Hee, hee! We are super proud of her! :)

I did want to share a few things I have been working on. I will be listing them in the store soon. These are an assortment of hearts with clay roses for Valentine's Day or any time of the year.
Do you prefer to decorate with pink for Valentine's Day or red?

Hope you have a beautiful day!

Pink Saturday 1/16/10

It's Pink Saturday again! Thanks to Beverly for hosting each week. Go on over to Beverly's blog How Sweet the Sound to see other participants sharing lovely pink today.

This Pink Saturday I am sharing an Irish Dresden figurine. This is my first Irish Dresden piece and I just love it. This was a Christmas gift from my Mom-in-law.
I love the beautiful dress, of course the delicate lace, and the painted flowers on her gown. I have not found the perfect place for her yet, but for now I have her with my Irish Beleek.

Thank you for stopping by today!
I hope you have a beautiful Pink Saturday!

Blessings,

Our hearts are heavy and we are deeply saddened.

We are praying for the victims, families and loved ones who have suffered

in the recent devastating earthquake in Haiti.

May God hold them close to his heart at this most difficult time.

Secret Santa Soiree

This year I participated in the Secret Santa Soiree hosted by the lovely Georgie at Decisionally Challenged.
Well, my packaged arrived! What great gifts I received!
I really want to thank my secret Santa for the wonderful gifts, and the thought and care that went into the gift.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
And Merry Christmas to You and Your Family!

I was like a kid when the box came. I could not wait to get it into the house and take a peek inside.
What a lucky girl I am! :o)

Here's what was inside:

First, a Christmas card with very sweet greetings inside:

Next, a box of beautiful pink rose soaps. These are so pretty, they look like paper roses, but are soaps. Just peel a petal off and use. They are sweet pea scented...yum! They smell divine!

Then, yankee candles in delicious scents... I LOVE them!
Double yum!

The sweetest 2009 snowman ornament from a church fair . It was boxed in a snowman tin...wonderful! This guy has a prominent place on our Christmas tree already!

Wait, there's more...
A Christmas sack filled with...

Yummy chocolate treats!!
Now located in a safe hiding place away from little hands and big hubby hands !

Oh my! This very beautiful pink rose dish.
Now how did my Secret Santa know I have a thing for pink roses??!!! Hmmm...
This is so very pretty and I will treasure it forever.
I especially love the open work around the rim..oooh ahhh!!

And finally, a wonderful Mary Engelbreit Christmas Journal. I love this. Family , tradition and making beautiful memories for my Children are so important to me. This journal will make a lovely keepsake for so many Christmas' to come.

So, now you see why I say I am a lucky girl! :o)

I love all of my sweet gifts!!
Thank you Secret Santa from the bottom of my heart!!
Have a very Merry Christmas!!
