Meet my favorite furry friend. This is our cockerspaniel Kandy (named so because she is so darned sweet.) I put this doggie sized Santa hat on her while we were decking the halls at our house after Thanksgiving. She did not complain one bit about it. She jumped on the couch near the fireplace and took a little snooze with her Santa hat on. I imagine she is dreaming of what Santa will put in her stocking this year. I'm sure she will find her stocking stuffed with lots of doggie treats and toys on Christmas morning...afterall, she has been a good girl all year!

Pink Saturday and a Giveaway!

Happy Pink Saturday!

Thank you Beverly of How Sweet the Sound for hosting Pink Saturday each week.
Stop by her blog to see who else is participating this Saturday.

This Saturday my pink is the pretty ribbon on this box that holds my giveaway!

The other pink I am sharing this weekend is the pink Prize...

A set of three of my wooden candy cane ornaments.

I painted them pink and white and sugared them with sparkly glass glitter.

I added one of my hand made clay roses to each( of course in pink).

Then, pearly accents and a pink bow.

They have an eye screw at the top to hang on your tree, garland or wreath. They also look wonderful as bowl-fillers.

They are about 6" long each.

So, how to enter...

*Leave a comment on this post for one entry.

*Follow this blog for another entry ( if you already do, that counts also).

*Mention the giveaway on your blog for an entry (please let me know if you do)

~HAPPY HALLOWEEN~

Have a wonderful Halloween!

Personalized Ornaments

A wonderful gift for the holidays that would be treasured for years to come is a hand painted personalized ornament. They are great for sisters, daughters, Mom, Grandma, girlfriends, hairdresser, teacher, newlyweds... They can be dated with the year, a birth date, an anniversary, or no date.

The ornaments sparkle beautifully on the tree because they are sugared with fine glass glitter.

These ornaments are currently available at Rose Brook Cottage.

Pink Saturday 10/17/2009

Happy Pink Saturday!
Thank you Beverly of How Sweet the Sound for hosting each week.
Check out her blog for more pretty pinks.

This Saturday I am sharing the new 2009 Holiday Barbie. When my daughter and I saw her we were so excited. She is wearing the most beautiful pink gown this year!

This year is Barbie's 50th Anniversary. So it's just fitting that she should be wearing her signature color for the holidays.

Barbie brings back such wonderful memories from when I was a girl. My favorite pass time by far was to "play Barbie's" . My Mom would give me leftover scraps from her sewing projects and I would make my Barbie new dresses.
Now I have newer memories playing Barbie's with my daughter. And making clothes with her for her dolls :)
Did you play Barbies when you were a girl?

Have a fun Pink Saturday,

A New Blog Look and A New Friend :)

Like my new blog background and banner?
I saw this set and loved the cottage look of it...just had to have it !
I got this blog set from a very sweet gal named Sheryn. It has been wonderful to meet her. She has a very beautiful blog. I just know you will love her and her blog :)
You have to hop on over to Pink and Pretty Designs. Her designs are beautiful and she is more than helpful if you need help in setting up your new background and banner.
While at her Sheryn's blog , check out her October Giveaway. It is fabulous! Scroll down and click on the link for Sheryn's giveaway in my sidebar.
Best Luck!

Snow In October

Look what we woke up to this morning!
Snow in October!

It's SO pretty...but I could really wait at least another month for the snow :)

My daughter was upstairs getting ready for school this morning and I could hear her singing...
Walking in a Winter Wonderland...

We haven't even carved a Jack-O-Lantern yet!
Oh my...

I wonder if this is a sign of the season to come...

Have a warm and cozy day,
